Born and raised in Miami, Armando Sanchez is a first-generation Cuban-American whose passion for technology started the moment he received his first computer as a child. What began as curiosity quickly became a lifelong obsession with understanding how systems worked, how they failed, and—more importantly—how to make them better.

Armando attended Christopher Columbus High School, where he built a strong technical foundation through advanced courses in Java programming, CAD, and engineering fundamentals. He later continued his education at Florida International University and completed the CyberSecurity Professional Program at the University of Miami, gaining hands-on experience in defensive security, network architecture, and digital forensics.

Over the years, Armando built a career working with a wide range of technologies, supporting businesses across Florida with real-world IT solutions, cybersecurity practices, and modern infrastructure deployments. After seeing firsthand how much small and medium-sized companies struggle with outdated systems, poor security, and unreliable support, he founded Ucio IT Services—his vision for a modern, security-focused MSP built for the future.

Why the Name “Ucio”?

The name Ucio carries deep personal significance. It honors Armando’s great-grandmother, who was born in the small village of Ucio in Ribadesella, Asturias, Spain. She and his great-grandfather migrated to Cuba in the early 20th century, beginning the journey that would shape his family for generations. Naming the company Ucio is a tribute to their resilience, their heritage, and the belief that each generation can build something stronger for the next.
